Happy for Summer: New Normal Looks Promising
Summer arrived bringing happy moments. I hope it did for all of you as well. I got to visit a new place and have new projects.
Family brag: My nephew graduated high school and became an Eagle Scout. I couldn’t be prouder.
Travels
After a year – literally a year (yes, yes, I mean literally) – hidden at home, the world opened up and I finally ventured out. My first trip took me to Amsterdam, New York. The hotel’s name was Amsterdam Castle. You would think the name was an obvious hint at what to expect. But no. I hadn’t realized we were going to stay in a real castle. It was amazing. Armories, stone, suits of armor, a hall, and even small golden gargoyles. I loved it.
Inspiration
Here is my room’s door (see my Instagram’s photo below). My aunt and I looked at it for maybe three seconds and spent three hours bouncing ideas. Needless to say, a story is born. I wanted it to be short and sweet. My aunt vetoed the decision; she wanted a novel.
I think we settled for a novella.
I am looking for the heroine’s name. Do you think you can help? Send me an email or comment below. I’d love to get your names suggestions.
In the Works…
I still have three projects to finish before tackling Project Castle Door. One of them is the fourth installment of The Sensers Secret Society, The Sand Senser. The cover is coming soon, and I can’t wait to share it with all of you! If you haven’t checked this series, you can get the two first short stories for free (The Judge Senser and The Executioner) when you subscribe to my mailing list.
What about you? Where did your first travels this year take you? Comment here or under my Instagram’s picture, I’d love to hear all about it.
Until next time, read and succeed,
